2016-2017 Reading Endorsement Online Course Schedule

The Reading Endorsement Program is a self-paced, facilitated course series. What that means to you is that you can sign up anytime for our high quality courses, you can finish at your own pace, and you will always have access to excellent facilitators.

These online reading courses are learner-centered, curriculum-focused, and instructor-guided. This professional development series provides meaningful and authentic learning, access to a variety of research-based best practices, mentoring by our state’s experts, and practical application for increased student performance.

All courses meet the latest indicators as outlined by the Florida Department of Education.  All 5 courses are required for Reading Endorsement.

To register for any of the Reading Endorsement Competencies Courses click on the appropriate link posted below.

Reading Competency 1: Instructional Foundations of Language and Reading (60 hours)

Reading Competency 2: Applications of Research-Based Practices (60 hours)

Reading Competency 3: Foundations of Assessment for Teachers and Principals (60 hours)

Reading Competency 4: Foundations and Applications of Differentiated Instruction (60 hours)

Reading Competency 5: Demonstration of Accomplished Practices in Reading (60 hours)

It is recommended that the competencies be taken in order; however, Competencies 1-3 can be taken in any order. You must complete at least 2 of the first 3 competencies before registering for the Competency 4 course and you must complete Competencies 1-4 before registering for the Competency 5 course.
